Jake Paul is a 21 year old high-school dropout, actor, and social media star. As a teenager in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, Jake got his social media start on the, now non-existent, 6-second video platform: Vine. His career on Vine started as a competition with his brother Logan to see who could garner the most followers and create the most viral videos. After Vine was formally disbanded in 2016, Paul and his following of 5.3 million Vine followers migrated to the video sharing platform: Youtube. On Youtube, Paul committed to making a 10 to 20 minute video blog (vlog for short) every day showing snippets of his life and everyday activities.

Paul reached virality quickly, as he featured crazy stunts in his videos that often including violence, over-sexualied women, and more problematic behaviors. Jake eventually crossed over from social media fame to traditional fame when he was casted in Disney Channel’s show Bizaardvark. In 2017 Paul took a massive step forward in his career and created Team 10, an influencer management company run by himself and featuring his friends.
